MANITOBA

Where Canada's heart beats. It is a friendly province with a rich and diverse culture, located in the centre of the continent.
Winnipeg

There is so much for me to say about The Peg. It's a city I grew to love but at times hated, mainly because of its harsh winters earning it the nickname Winterpeg. Winnipeg is a beautiful city with heritage buildings and tree-lined boulevards. It is a meeting point of cultures and hosts a wealth of festivals, cultural celebrations, and museums. After three years there I have a few favourite cityspots and still have a list of places I'd like to visit.

Rural Manitoba & Manitoba Lakes

Manitoba is a prairie province with vast great plains and extensive farmland. My first experieneces of living in Manitoba were in Ashern,  and the surrounding communities, over two hours North of Winnipeg.  Life outside of Winnipeg is quite different from life in the city and was in some ways challenging for me. I also visited several small towns, many of which are on Lake Manitoba and are known as 'cottage country' or camping sites.

Ashern, Gimli, Grand Beach, Moosehorn, Stonewall, Steeprock to name a few.
